Scholarships
Introduction
The Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County is building a workforce that is educated, trained, and prepared for the 21st century. Helping to fulfill this educational vision is the Calhoun County Scholarship Fund.

The Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County Scholarship has been established to provide scholarships non traditional students who reside within Calhoun County and seek educational opportunities.  The number and dollar amount of scholarships may vary each year, with a maximum award of $1,000 each.

Eligibility at this time is for adults who have not been enrolled in any full time educational program for at least six months prior to the application deadline and are in need of additional education and/or technical training to enhance current employment status and/or employability. Previous Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County Scholarship recipients are welcome to re-apply. Strong emphasis will be placed on merit, need, academic achievement, and community involvement. Geographical representation of each recipient will also be considered.

The Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County Scholarship can be applied toward:

  • Technical training
  • College education
  • Company-related training/education
  • GED

    This scholarship is not for graduating students or post college graduate studies.

    The Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County Scholarship Program is administered by the Community Foundation Alliance of Calhoun County, which serves Calhoun County, and provides a countywide platform for philanthropy.  We serve as a repository of funds and grantmaking organization for projects that have a countywide focus.  Partial funding is provided by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
